Project Reminder

Hello there students and families! Today students were assigned a brand-new project in order to reinforce and further explore our unit on oceans. Students were given a shoe box in class with the assignment to create a small ocean "exhibit" for our classroom museum.

While some time and resources will be given to students in class to construct their exhibit, parent participation and assistance at home is also welcome!

While the assignment sheet will have been sent home with the students, the main thing for students to consider while making this project is "what does an ocean habitat look like?" and "what types of ocean animals live where?"

For more helpful tips on construction ideas while working on this project please visit the attached link. Remember that this link is only an example however, and is by no means the only way to go about this project. Thanks!

Have you ever been to the ocean? What animals do you think live there? Think about this and be ready to discuss it in class.

In the meantime, why not swim over to the attached link and learn more interesting facts about the ocean? With all the great facts you will learn you're sure to make waves with your family as you share with them all the new facts you learned practically on your own!

Welcome!

Hello!  Welcome to Ms. Cross' Blog.  My name is Ms. Cross this is a website blog and resource center for my second grade students and their families.  This blog will allow students and parents valuable opportunities to expand on concepts taught in the classroom as well as provide potential study help and open communication. It will allow children and parents to engage and ask questions based on course material in order to prevent common misunderstandings.

I am excited to work with both parents and students to explore many different learning avenues and experiences! Please feel free to ask any questions that may come up, and even answer a few too!
